Storage Administrator

Description

Position Description Experience in Storage Administration of DB2, EMC SRDF, SNAPS. The Lead Storage Administrator is responsible for all aspects of storage operations, including systems analysis and maintenance, and support, capacity planning, and subsystems configuration. They will also work with the Storage Engineering teams to provide operations insight into storage and backup infrastructure strategy and direction. Develops longterm strategy for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs; defines data retention, backup, and recovery. Contribute to the development of enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multivendor platforms. Ability to work in a team environment with analysts, management, vendors, and customers. Must have demonstrated experience in storage computing environment focusing on subsystems configuration, integration and management of complex applications, databases and operating systems. Knowledge of Symmetrix, Time finder, EMC SRDF/S, SNAPS, Time Finder, Clones, and BCVs, EMC Control Center, SMC, Clarion, a plus.
