Description Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Includes Oracle, MY SQL, and DB2. Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades, UNIX shell scripting, and physical and logical database design. Some Oracle databases are very large, with a minimum size of 500 GB and 1000 users. Familiarity with ETL Tools like AbInitio, DataStage, Informatica, etc. Familiarity with Web ApplicationsHands on experience with Microsoft Windows XP or higher version. Hands on experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.Work Experience 5+ yearsFinancial Services Experience 3+ years ExperienceKnowledge of other Oracle advanced features (RMAN, RAC, fail over methodologies)Works independentlyFamiliarity with other data bases, ETL tools, web applications and or other programming languagesClient Experience Desired but not requiredDevelops advanced domain specific technology solutions and guides their development into a final productETL experience in implementation and designAbility to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members).More Details The resource will be required to work independently at times. This will require strong communications skills as they interact with application teams looking for them to provide technical direction base on our standards. The resource must be able to handle working multiple work streams and be able to prioritize some of their workload.This request is for an Oracle DBA that is familiar with Unix and Linux installations.Need this resource to be able to function as an individual and a team member. Will be asking them to meet with customers and prioritize the work the customers have. Candidates also need to be able to handle multiple work streams that I will help them prioritize.Required Skills would be as follows Technically Solid Oracle DBA Communications (Verbal and Written) DiagnosticHaving the following knowledge would be a plus Oracle Golden Gate and Data Guard MySQL Microsoft SQL Server
