Job Description Work with a crossfunctional team of stakeholders, technical staff, and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements. These requirements meet the needs for a specific market, existing products, new products, services, or programs. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Must be onsite at Mayo Clinic Rochester at least 34 days per week. Documentation includes using any appropriate requirement specification tools including user stories, use cases, data flow diagrams, process diagrams or functional specifications. Analyze and research requirements to improve and standardize business data and processes, existing functionality. Provide analytical guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle. Prioritize requirements and align stakeholder requirements to the project vision. Help Project Manager create development tasks from requirements. Review test plans to ensure successful user acceptance testing. Serve as the requirements subject matter expert providing user story and requirements consultancy throughout the project's development and test cycles. Track and manage all changes to requirements. Initiate change requests as needed. Work closely with the Business Owner to proactively manage and protect project scope. Communicate risks and impacts of proposed changes in a timely fashion. Validate issues reported by the business against requirements and acceptance criteria. The Business Analyst will work with Product Managers to gather, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements to meet the needs of the market for; enhancements to existing products, new products or services, or programs. The BA is responsible for the elicitation of functional requirement and refinement of those requirements into nonfunctional requirements, definition of and adherence to business rules, appropriate documentation of all requirements, refinement to the level of a product specification, and analysis of requirements to ensure they effectively meet business needs. Ensure all requirements are clearly understood by all team members. Ensure adequate traceability of requirements, work with the Product Manager to manage changes to existing requirements, and processing and prioritization of new requirements into subsequent product releases; and also work with the Product Manager and the Project Manager to effectively deliver new products or services to the market. The BA will also review the testing plan to ensure its adequacy to verify that all requirements are met sufficiently to obtain customer acceptance of all deliverables. Other qualifications include thorough understanding of application development methodologies and the development lifecycle. Experience writing use cases, user stories, data flow diagrams, process diagrams, and technical specifications. Experience with requirements management tools and issue tracking tools. Business Analyst will be considered a leader for all phases of the solution lifecycle, and will work closely with a variety of internal and external business and technology partners. Specific Job Details Bachelor's degree with 4 years experience in business administration, engineering, information science, health or science related field. Focus areas of web sites, health plan management, healthy living, or care management. Strong problemsolving, analytic, conceptual and critical thinking skills. Strong facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Experience documenting and analyzing system integrations. Thorough understanding of application development methodologies and software development lifecycles, including Agile. IIBA certification preferred.
