Description
As Technical Architect, you will responsible for design of complex, multisystem environments including the production, testing and development environments. Your responsibility includes the integration of hardware, operating systems, connectivity, business software and applications for the target technology solution. You will identify and analyze business requirements of both internal and external clients and work with the business, development, production and support teams to document conceptual designs. Your expert knowledge of technical architecture will enable you to serve as Subject Matter Expert to Business, Operations and Technology teams on technical architecture. You will develop and maintain/improve the technical reference architecture and framework. You will identify the hardware and software components that the application will use for implementation and provide instruction on how to appropriately implement application components. (This section is Domain specific)You should have a background in a number of insert domainrelated capabilities including customerfacing payment experiences, payment processing, risk/limit models, transaction and payment fulfillment, purchase authorizations, persontoperson and persontomerchant payment models. You will work closely with other architects, developers and leads, customer experience, payment operations support and Payment business leads to develop and drive the technical direction for the Digital Payments domain including Bill Payment, Presentment, Quick Pay, Transfers, Mobile Payments, Credit and Debit Payments and other payment and transaction models that integrate into the Digital Payment space. Your ability to collaborate and reach consensus will be a significant and required asset. The position will also require you to identify issues in that collaborative environment and drive those issues to closure. You will be challenged to understand the real business needs and balance the business needs with existing technical constraints and operational impacts in order to develop implemental solutions. You will identify and communicate risks associated with component or application implementation. You will support and guide the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes. You will support the teams to plan the sequence and content of application component releases. You will prepare technical architecture deliverables in accordance with Commercial and Consumer Banking Architecture standards and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical individuals at all levels. You will need to work directly with senior business and technology leaders within the Digital organization as well as across the larger JPMC organization. The role is multidimensional in the number and tenor of the professional relationships that you will need to develop across the team with these leaders. This is also a key context of the role. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of Technical Architect work experienceAbility to architect and drive adoption of solutions and platforms into productionAbility to work independently across multiple initiatives simultaneouslyAbility to work with multiple design and delivery partners including vendorsSolid skills in internet technology, information architecture, analytics, decision systemsSolid skills in multiple areas of technology (programming languages, system design, information architecture, network)Knowledge of the overall business operating models and underlying technical architectureStrong skills in architecture methodologies, standards and toolsStrong understanding of relevant technologies and development life cyclesStrong understanding of project management methodologies and tools including experience with agile deliveryStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience (that is domain specific) with at least 2 of PointofSale technologies including contactless/NFC, Secure Element or Host Card Emulations, Barcodes and QR Codes, or Bluetooth Low EnergyCard Payments (VISA, Mastercard, ISO, EMV, issuance and acceptance, debit/credit, tokenization standards)Mobile application development; native iOS/Android, hybrid applications, mobile browserPlatform at scale authentication, enrollment, selfservicing, notifications, transaction processing endofday cutoffs with limited to no degradation of system performance. o Payment and Transaction initiation and settlement, payment methods including ACH, Wires, and internal/external transfers, image capture, bill presentment and payment distribution platforms
