JOB PURPOSEResponsible for 1) data modelling &design 2) database performance design and tuningMUST HAVE RESPONSIBILITIESCreation of Data Model (Conceptual, Logical & Physical) for OLTP applicationData Modeling Tool (Erwin, Visio etc.)Database Performance design and Optimization (indexes, tuning at database and query level)RDBMS Knowledge SQL Server preferredData at rest security implementationNICE TO HAVE RESPONSIBILITIESDB Sizing, DB Availability, DB ScalabilityUnderstanding of Storage Technologies, Memory Management, Disk Arrays, SSD, SAN, NetworkingBackup, recovery and archivalData integration patterns, Exposure to ETL process and tools
