Required Skills Role Scope / Deliverables Linux administration for hybrid on premise and cloud environment.O Proficient in RedHat with some Solaris to support migrations/upgrades/patchingO Analysis of systems, identify discrepancies and recommend best practice and implement throughout the environment.O Troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure resolving issues permanently in the environment. Ability to drive standardization and implementation of process and procedures Experience and understanding of compliance for SOX/PCI to ensure proper configuration within environment. Implementation and use of tools and automation such as Ansible, Service Now, Automox, Jenkins, Cloud (AWS/Azure) etc. O Develop automation where appropriate to reduce or eliminate routine manual taskso Create and edit runbooks where needed for both on premise and the cloud routine procedures and operations Know the benefits and use of Service Now with the ability to create a workflow, implement and provide documentation on processes. Create metrics such as trending/growth/improvement/tracking along with data comparison from different resources and reporting. Training personnel enabling follow the sun model Work closely with application owners to ensure business needs are met along with ensuring tuning and optimization of their systems. Set and enforces standards, policies and operational practices around the deployment of system software and security patches. Ensures that all such standards are documented, available and used by the Operations staff. Provides guidance, training and mentorship to the junior staff on the Operations teams, helping to develop a knowledgeable and competent staff. Review processes and verify that best practices are being followed throughout projects and operational tasks Work with migration teams as a liaison to fully evaluate ensure continuity throughout cloud transitions Deploy and support new solutions in AWS and other cloud providersKey Skills Successful candidate will have scripting skills for automation and aptitude for learning new tools Working and troubleshooting experience in the following areas Linux, Solaris, patching solutions, scripting, various tools, and automation, with a focus on Linux Scripting skills for automation and ability to learn new tools and make run books where needed, enabling bothon premise and cloud environments Experience in evaluating, revising and documenting IT processes and procedures that will be used to train L1 personnel. Ability to assume and complete assignments independently driving to completion Ability to understand technical concepts to a broad audience Excellent customer service skills required Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts Experience with configuration and deployment of infrastructure and applications Experience using tools such as Ansible, Jira, Stash, Confluence Experience with Agile methodologies
