Java Lead

Description

Job Responsibilities Responsible for analyzing, writing and deploying software for most complex problems. This includes market research, evaluation and recommendation of new emerging technologies and design solutions to support Valassis strategic objectives. This will involve working with various counterparts within BTS to ensure alignment (ie Architecture and Infrastructure) as well as key suppliers. This role involves execution of projects in less time, with high quality and minimal defects. Principal Developer will participate in evaluating applicable system requirements to determine multiple feasible solutions that could include new technologies to improve business throughput. Participates in design discussions with business and functional team. Has ability to design and implement simple solutions to complex business challenges. Responsible for supplying technical direction based on an understanding of those business needs. Develop and document business technical solutions by reviewing appropriate documentation, participating in technical design sessions and ensuring critical decisions support the goal and approved business case Take on leadership position to support the project and development teams including producing technical design and set up, supporting development activities and ensuring technical customization using current set of standards and methodologies.
