Work Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities Security Administration and Management Administer and manage all the Adds/changes/deletes of user IDs Vendor maintains a permanent log of all the adds/changes/delets Quarterly user id review and revalidation Installation and management of security patches Implement system security policies Quarterly review and revalidation of security settings Shell programming concepts Install / Upgrade High Availability / Clustering environment Configure High Availability / Clustering environment Perform Failover Testing HMC Firmware updates & backups. LPAR administration and resource moves VIO administration & resource moves Monitoring health of fiber switches and IBM SAN Manage Fiber switch zone configurations Configuration Backups Manage IBM SAN arrays and provision LUNs to servers Monitoring of SAN Utilization(usage, performance, availability) Capacity Planning( Forecast storage growth) Application and Installation of Patches and Hardware or Software Firmware Updates Security Administration and Management Installation and management of security patches Implement best practice system security policy settings Quarterly review and revalidation of security settings Weekly, Period and Year end processing management Tape drive firmware updates and hardware related issues Management of hardware issues disk units, cache batteries cards Cumulative PTF Load and apply including groups and hipers Operating System upgrades Performance monitoring and tuning System health check AIX Logical Volume Manager to provision volume groups, logical volumes and file systems Operating system patches Scheduling administration and monitoring of AIX system backups Periodic testing of AIX system backups and restores Full operating system mksysb backups and restores Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio). Abiding by Change Management, Incident management and Problem Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements Act on Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts To able to perform in 24 x 7 Environment in shift roaster To able to attend calls oncall basis whenever assigned Create regular reports for Management requirements. Good experience working on ticketing tools like Service Now, Remedy, and HPOpenview etc. Good documentation skill to document the daytoday events for tracking and review, process documentation, Preparing SOP (Service Operation Procedure) documents, Creating and maintaining technical knowledge base
