Understanding of business strategy.Job Summary Client IT Transformation team has an 6 month contract opening in Houston, Texas for a Software Engineer, Mobility Solutions Developer who implements and maintains new or improved mobile software products, procedures and techniques as they pertain to mobility solutions, such as iOS, Android and web apps. Provides innovative and costeffective development solutions according to the project technical objectives and timing. Evaluates emerging mobile technologies and stays updated on mobile software and hardware industry trends. With increasing experience and seniority will supervise and mentor younger engineers/developers, and lead activities to define and implement frameworks and design practices, as well as knowledge sharing activities in the local and global community.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Reports to Mobility Solutions CoE Manager. Develop, test and maintain mobile software solutions and execute in their development in agreement with project technical and timing objectives. Assist in identifying and organizing requirements and producing specifications for mobile application projects. Apply usability procedures and principles as defined at the project or productline level or through customer input. Produce analyses, mathematical models, and designs and draw design conclusions based on those. Build prototypes, frameworks, development kits and accelerator systems suitable for testing and evaluation Design testing procedures and coordinate with others to perform tests. Conduct tests, document test results and develop client presentation. May present solutions to clients. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure and maintain source code quality. Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met. Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration, test procedures and results). Provide support and prepare technical documentation to field and/or customers through InTouch in a timely fashion. May provide user training for developed products. May author/coauthor technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations. Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and lowcost products that maintain client's technical leadership position. Apply and comply with the project development process as defined by the Project Manager.Essential Qualifications/Requirements Strong working and applicable knowledge of mobile solutions, devices and industry trends. Innovative thinker, able to envision how mobile technology can be implemented to solve complex hardware and software challenges. Strong experience with the Visual Studio .NET development stack including C#, ASP.NET, Team Foundation Server, RESTful web services, MVC, etc. Development experience with Xamarin and SAP SMP 3.0 desired. Experience with HTML5, CSS and Java / Java Script. Strong experience with agile development methodology. Experience with native mobile application design for iOS, Android and Windows. Core competencies in mobile application development and cross platform mobile development tools including Objective C, Java, C#, Xamarin.
