Description Client is looking for motivated and energized HPC professionals in several areas including Strategy & Planning, Software & Hardware Architecture, Tuning and Optimization, and Emerging Technologies, Operational Support.Required Qualifications Must have a minimum of 10 years of HPC experience in at least one of the following areas user support, operations, user training, HPC software or HPC hardware. Strong preference for someone with handson HPC coding, optimization experience. Strong preference for someone with industry experience with focus on seismic processing, reservoir modeling. Requires handson, practical experience with both HPC software and hardware technologies, including multiple programming languages and technologies such as Fortran, C, C++, MPI, OpenMP, Perl, Python, Shell scripting (bash, ksh, etc.) in a Linux or Unix environment.Responsibilities Evaluate and test emerging HPC technologies and design Set direction and strategy Deploy and support HPC Solutions worldwide (software, middleware, hardware, etc.) Tune and optimize software and algorithms for HPC Infrastructure and HPC workflows Provide assistance to HPC support staff, HPC endusers and HPC Software Developers (for both production quality code and R&D codes) Organizing training for HPC Software tools Assisting developers in getting HPC codes running fast and efficiently Becoming an expert in parallel programming tools, tricks and knowledge Help to coordinate HPC activities and events and lead and mentor HPC support staff, who provide frontline support for HPC Help direct HPC optimization efforts across R&D, Software Development, & Infrastructure Provide expert advice to HPC support specialists Identify & build a small but robust HPC skill pool and technical community for HPC optimization Monitor industry developments in HPC optimization & communicate best practices Represent client at select industry HPC technical forums Coordinate HPC activities & events Manage relationships with HPC vendors, Universities, etc. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with several of the following key HPC technologies OS RedHat/CentOS, Windows HPC Job Scheduling/HPC Middleware Platform LSF, Analytics, RTM or other scheduling system Parallel Programming MPI, OpenMP C, C++, Fortran programming languages, compilers and performance/tuning/optimization tools High Performance Libraries (MKL, Petsc, etc) GPGPU/Accelerator programming (CUDA, OpenCL, MIC) Parallel Matlab HPC hardware Intel/AMD x86 HPC nodes InfiniBand, 10Gbit Ethernet Parallel HighSpeed Filesystems and Big Data experience (Hadoop) Highend visualization/graphics HPC Architecture & Systems Design HPC Domain, Application and Workflow experience/exposure Seismic Processing tools, applications and workflows Reservoir Engineering tools, applications and workflows Cloud HPC solutions A strong network of HPC contacts in Industry, Academia, National HPC Labs is a plus
