SQL Developer cum DBA

Job DescriptionThe seniorlevel SQL Server contractor needs to have a combination of Developer and DBA skills and experience Developer Skills Conversion of Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages and SQL XML code Development of Informatica workflows and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages DBA Skills Installation of and Upgrade to SQL Server 2016 or 2017 Experience with Always On and Patching Development and implementation of standard configurations using automation Backup/Recovery with Commvault Securing databases using groups, roles, and views Troubleshooting issues such as connectivity and performance Strong written and verbal communication skills The contractor will participate on a SQL Server upgrade project. A combination of Developer and DBA skills are needed to convert DTS packages and SQL XML code to SSIS or Informatica workflows, install SQL Server, and create/migrate databases. The contractor will need to troubleshoot upgrade issues and may need to tune databases and SQL statements. The contractor is expected to collaborate and share knowledge with other DBAs and Developers. Active participation on project teams and proactive communication of status and issues is expected. The contractor must submit a weekly timesheet in QVCs EPM application.
