Network Engineer

REQUIREMENT THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT CUSTOMER SITE IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE TO WORK FOR 3 MONTHS OUT OF GERMANTOWN, MD FOR TRAINING AND THEN WILL BE PERMANENTLY IN CLEVELAND, OHIOWITH ONE WEEK PER MONTH THEREAFTER HERE IN GERMANTOWN, MD. ALL EXPENSES FOR TRAVEL AND HOTEL WILL BE PAID BY Client during the travel between OH and MD. MUST HAVE BS DEGREE IN COMPUTERS, ENGINEERING, OR OTHER TECHNICAL FIELD. APPROXIMATELY 8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS AS THEY WILL BE ON CUSTOMER SITE ANSWERING PHONE AND TICKET REQUESTS FOR HELP. The individual should have a solid understanding of network protocols and the performance characteristics of broadband networks (certifications on Cisco and/or other network routing equipment are desirable and should be at a level comparable to a Principal Engineer). In addition, through appropriate training at Hughes, the individual should have the appropriate technical background to be able to quickly come up to speed on Hughes managed services, including the equipment, tools, and unique characteristics of such services. The individual should be willing to be onsite at a particular customer location in Cleveland, Ohio for some or all of the contract period (an initial period of 1 year). The individual should then be able to apply his/her technical background and experience, as well as the knowledge gained of services, in order to be perform the following tasks, with little or no supervision
