Description

Responsibilities Successfully deliver project engagements with Managed Services customers. Perform remote and onsite implementations, upgrades and issue resolution with key customers. Provide technical leadership and problemsolving within customers complex IT environments. Investigate, research, test, and compare new technology offerings. Perform critical new customer establishment activities, environmental reviews, healthcheck and remediation with customers. Provide teammembers with mentoring, training on new technology, and technical knowledge enablement. Take a consultative approach to helping our customers improve the effectiveness of their computing environment. Investigate and test technologies as part of our New Service Development process Assist in program management functions for internal systems, processes and tools Perform critical services for customers on an oncall and afterhours rotational basis.Areas of Technical Expertise (need 34 of these) Strong fundamental knowledge of networking (including protocols, switching and routing, policies, basic security), storage concepts (including SAN, NAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI), virtualization concepts, backup and recovery concepts, and general IT troubleshooting (demonstrated by A++ or Net++ certification or equivalent.)Additionally, the following concentration areas are key to success Deep understanding of Windows Server Platform to include advanced AD, Exchange, SQL, clustering, load balancing, name services, backup and recovery techniques. Virtualization VMware, Citrix, Microsoft to include VM sizing, virtual networking and storage best practices, VM placement and tuning, high availability configurations, load balancing critical workloads, hypervisor configuration best practices. Networking Cisco, HP, Fortinet to include basic routing and switching, access controls, VLANs, security considerations for WAN/LAN, network troubleshooting including packet capture, basics of Quality of Service (QoS), DHCP, DNS, Wifi configuration considerations.Applicable Backgrounds Include
