Lead Web Front End Developer

PURPOSEWe are currently seeking an experienced web front end developer who will be responsible to define, build and manage our front end visual design and development. This role will be part of a team responsible for product ownership of UI and Web, but also plays a large role working with business stakeholders to define features that deliver value and an exceptional experience for our consumers. The team will work to build and implement our code, setting a site wide standard UI and UX. Location/Duration Work location(s) Based out of downtown Chicago (AON Center) Duration of assignment 4/2 to 12/24/18 Typical anticipated hours per week/schedule 40PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES List the activities the role requires on a regular basis. Identify the major end result the position is expected to achieve for each of these activities. Consulting with internal stakeholders to understand technical needs, analyzing solution options and making a recommendation based upon your knowledge and experience Partnering with designers and user experience specialists to create consumerfirst user experiences Bridging the gap between elegant frontend design and existing enterprise backend architectures Design, develop, test, and implement frontend, responsive web code and design for web and mobile application Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design Wireframe new site pages Implement site metrics using Google Analytics, app analytic tools, or other analytics tools Agile in process and process change Enthusiastic to write tests AB test different layouts, call to actions, content types, and more to help ensure our content converts at the highest possible rate Interested in rapid feedback supported by data and experiment KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES What skills and knowledge are required for this job What type of and how much prior experience is required to do this job Experience and Knowledge 10 years minimum experience combination of frontend web dev/design, website optimization, graphic design, and HubSpot marketing experience. 3+ years leading marketing and web design/development experience that includes some combination of frontend web dev/design, website optimization, graphic design, and HubSpot marketing experience. Experience working with agile methodology & dev ops geared towards cloud Lead frontend development experience HTML5, JavaScript/ JQuery, CSS. Portfolio examples required for interview. Comfortable working with responsive layouts and designs, and building effective intuitive user interfaces. Strong communication skills A desire to learn and share your knowledge Minimum of Bachelor degree preferably in MIS or equivalent IT field experience required.Skills needed Node/Express JS for frontend work, primarily serverside rendering Ruby/Rails for backend work Java/Dropwizard/Maven for backend work Published apps, websites or other examples of solutions built You have worked with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (preferred)
