Mobile App Developer - IOS

Description

PURPOSEDesign and develop software applications (apps) for mobile phones, Smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. May develop on one or more mobile platforms including Apple iOS and Google Android. Manage full software development life cycle including testing, implementation, and auditing. Perform product design, bug verification, and beta support which may require research and analysis. The mobile app development contractor will partner with the Digital Innovation team and IT to develop, program, and test various proof of concept projects. In the evolving Digital eCommerce space, new technologies appear in the market at a frequent pace. This changing landscape requires a versatile team that is in touch with the market, passion about new technology, while at the same time able to understand the needs of our customers and how emerging technology can improve the customer experience. Location/Duration Work location(s) Primarily based out of downtown Chicago (AON) Duration of assignment 7/16/2018 to 12/24/2018 Typical anticipated hours per week/schedule 40PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES List the activities the role requires on a regular basis. Identify the major end result the position is expected to achieve for each of these activities. Participate in the planning, analysis, creation and design of iOS and Android applications Build highperformance, scalable consumer mobile applications and APIs Consulting with internal stakeholders to understand technical needs, analyzing solution options and making a recommendation based upon your knowledge and experience Partnering with designers and user experience specialists to create consumerfirst user experiences Bridging the gap between elegant frontend design and existing enterprise backend architectures Reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce strategies and cases Manage the deployment cycle of mobile application with Google Play and Apple App Stores Create clean, maintainable, and tested code with supporting documentation KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES What skills and knowledge are required for this job What type of and how much prior experience is required to do this job Experience and Knowledge At least 5 years experience in building native and hybrid iOS Application with Swift, Bootstrap/Material UI, or using frameworks such as Xamarin, PhoneGap, Ionic or similar Expert in ObjectiveC, iOS SDK & XCode Developed and published apps, websites or other examples of solutions built. Portfolio examples required for interview. Experience working with agile methodology & dev ops geared towards cloud OAUTH experience and ability to work with a tech stack of Python, RabbitMQ, Django/ Flask, Rest Framework, Oauth, NLTK/SciKit and other Python packages is a plus You have created and deployed microservices is a plus Ability to use containers like dockers or kubernettes is a plus Strong knowledge of full stack development and object oriented development is a plus You have worked with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (Preferred) Strong communication skills A desire to learn and share your knowledge Minimum of Bachelor degree preferably in MIS or equivalent IT field experience required. Experience connecting mobile applications to IOT platforms (Alexa, Google Home, etc.)
