SQL Developer

Description

PRIMARY DUTIES Design and implement database schemas using strong knowledge of database concepts and techniques. Develop SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Develop adhoc and/or standard reports. Use troubleshooting skills to isolate, diagnose and resolve database problems. Utilize database optimization experience to improve database performance. Determine root cause of database performance bottlenecks. Serve as a technical backup for other team members. Assist with routine database management tasks in development environment.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 8 to 10+years experience developing medium to large database solutions. 5+ years experience with OLTP systems. 5+ years experience with MS SQL Server 20052018. 5+ years experience designing and writing complex TSQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Must have a B.S. or a B.A. college degree or commensurate work experience.PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with software performance testing, tuning and load testing. Experience with large distributed 24/7 applications. Experience using source code version control systems like TFS, PVCS and MKS. Strong understanding of relational database concepts. Strong working knowledge of TSQL. Ability performance tune poorly running TSQL. Understand the SDLC and project management. Proficiency with MS Office applications. Attention to detail, ability to work on a team. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Work under tight deadlines while handling multiple tasks. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times. Possession of sufficient credit to facilitate travel if and when required
