Windows Systems Engineer

Description

Senior level Windows Engineer position. Achieves assigned goals and objectives. Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs hardware, software, and network connectivity issues using independent knowledge and discretion; includes the installation, maintenance and upgrades to the corporate environment. Monitors and performs analysis on key infrastructure systems including Active Directory, Exchange, antivirus, and deployment of systems. Assists other infrastructure groups in analyzing and troubleshooting. Provides guidance to Client Services and other administrators as needed. Little to no supervision, serves as the primary lead for the team. Provides general direction for the team. Provides team overviews of architecture put in place. Provides feedback to other members of the team and management on the integrity of the Windows Infrastructure. Determines software upgrade cycles and monitors release management and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoots and fixes more complex Infrastructure issues across various teams. Configure, maintain and report on Infrastructure health. Consults with vendors on trouble tickets to help resolve open issues. Helps gather objectives from the business. Works with team to understand and implement the best strategy for those objectives.Serves as a liaison to other Infrastructure groups. Participates in project work as assignedMentors and couches other team members as needed.Creates and maintains documentation for environment3rd level of escalation for assistance to outsourced staff.RequirementsBachelors degree in a related field and or 57 years experience in IT infrastructureMust have scripting knowledge with PowerShell. Batch and VB are a plus.Server and hardware troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of deployment and execution strategiesExperience with mid to large size organizationsHighly organized and results drivenExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server systems (server 2003, 2018, 2018R2, 2012)Excellent skillset with MS Excel, Word and SharePointUnderstanding of AD, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Trend Antivirus Deep Security, file and print, WSUS, Landesk, VMware, Citrix/Xenapp, DELL/HP/IBM/x86 hardware and other current technologiesAbility to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule
