Description

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst Technical Lead is a key member of the Application Services team reporting to the Director, Senior Manager or Manager, Quality Assurance. This position is a Senior role that encompasses Quality Assurance responsibilities for project analysis, estimation, testing and problem/defect management of applications and systems integrations through usage of QA automation technologies. This person will have expert knowledge of test automation tools, technologies, frameworks, architectures and be able to define, design, develop and implement testing scripts and techniques, and manage a team of QA Automation Analysts. The person must have a good understanding of various automation strategies, automation environment setup and maintenance. The person also must possess acumen to what can be automated Vs what can not be from a business process perspective. This person must possess the management and technical skills necessary to participate in the execution of testing services, and recommend and enforce testing standards and policies. He/she must be effective in working with the IT management and subordinates, vendors and peers. He/she must be able to manage a team of 6+ analysts/engineers in the testing of a wide variety of both packaged, modified packages, and custombuilt applications and integration solutions. This person will define, communicate, and execute the testing strategies to be employed during all phases of QA cycle. He/she must have the technical qualifications to be involved in all facets of testing development and deployment. He/she must also be capable of supervising and advising testing analysts and engineers on projects of any size. He/She must be able to both recognize and help exploit business opportunities and be actively involved in maintaining/administering tools such as HP ALM etc., technical work environments related to QA, technology currency, and recommend potential solutions to the position they report into within Quality Assurance department. The person must have worked in Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Position must be able to operate multiple testing solutions/scenarios concurrently, report defects to the appropriate leaders, and be an active participant in the applications solution delivery process, as well as mentoring a group of QA analysts. Lead a team of some 6+ QA Analysts in the delivery of testing applications and integrations solutionsDefine automation strategy and roadmap for multiple application streams for implementation in a global modelApply a combination of automation tools to build appropriate, cost measured automation implementationsProvide technical direction and review to a distributed teamWork closely with Architecture, Application Services, Integration, and infrastructure teams to deliver fully tested solutions via automation ready for production useRecord, report, and manage defect solutions using appropriate toolsMentor and train internal staff as well as outsourced and/or offshore staffWork closely with the vendors to keep abreast of current product developments and enhancementsEstablish, define, help govern and deliver status reporting of engagementsRequirementsA minimum of five (5) years management experience managing a distributed, multicultural workforceA minimum of five (5) years experience in business analysisA minimum five (5) years of application testing experience using appropriate toolsA minimum three (3+) years of automation testing experience using automation frameworks, automation technologies, tools, environmentsExtensive experience of working with open source test automation tools such as Selenium, Ruby, Jmeter, WebLoadExperience of source code control management for maintaining automation repositoryExperience of working in Agile/Scrum based QA environmentExperience of working in CI/CD and Automated unit testing such as JUnits/utPLSQL etc.,Working knowledge of two or more operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows, AS400/iSeries, Mainframe)Working knowledge of one or more RDBMS (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, DB2)Experience in testing complex, scalable and high performance solutions from requirements to productionAbility to write solid documentation that supports the testing and project management effortExperience in applying project management principles via formal methodology, and using the associated tools and techniques.Working with peer application management, insure a fully tested solution that is fit for production useExperience is defining testing standards and protocolsSound customer relations skills and the ability to work with demanding clientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDesired Previous experience with HP Quality CenterDesired Previous experience with Test AutomationDesired Previous experience with JiraBachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a technical or business field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work background should include experience in a technical professional services or engineering environment with a focus on developing and/or testing applications.
