Designs and builds database environmentsDesign and document database architecture. Data ModelingTroubleshoots problems with database tier of environment. Working with application owners to resolve issues.Operations and Monitoring of the environmentPatching and upgradesPerforming backup and cloningParticipates in the 24/7 on call rotationRequirementsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is required, and an advanced degree is a plusMinimum of 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experienceHandson experience administering Oracle databases version 9i, 10g, 11g and 12c. Experience with Administering Oracle RAC is required.Experience installing and configuring Oracle databases on physical, virtual and RAC environment is a plusExperience with performance tuning in RAC environmentExperience with RMAN backup/restore and cloningExperience with Oracle Grid 12c monitoringExcellent knowledge of P/L SQLDemonstrated ability to create batch scripts for task automationExperience with mid to large size organizationsDemonstrated ability to be highly organized and results drivenExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience supporting Retail application databases is a plusExperience with MSSQL, IBM Netezza or Teradata is a plusRelative certifications are plus, such as Oracle OCA, OCP, OCMExperience with Sarbanes Oxley and or PCI is a plus.Ability to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule
