Senior Network Engineer

REQUIREMENT Job Summary Client is seeking a talented individual who will provide network administration for enterprisewide support, installation, maintenance and coordination of local and wide area networks. You will plan, install and maintain network equipment, security devices and related hardware and software to maintain optimal performance and operation. You will work closely with the security team, under the change management process, in applying standards necessary to keep the network safe and secure from interruption.Job Duties Cisco wireless client configuration and troubleshooting.Assist in data center installs, provision network access ports and physical cable infrastructure for data center systems.Ensure LAN/WAN environments are secure, and that appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed.Monitor performance of network devices to identify problems and bottlenecks, and provide evidence when it is not the network.Provide technical guidance to service and support staff or less experienced network engineers.Work on network projects including routing protocol integrations, software upgrades, wireless networking initiatives and security.Skills / Qualifications Experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Prime.Ability to troubleshoot issues, including spanning tree, VLAN, VRF, OSPF, VRRP, VDC, VPCBackground in change management.Strong technical leadership skills and demonstrable ability to organize and prioritize day to day operations.Expert knowledge of local and wide area networking techniques as well as wired and wireless communications.Knowledge of layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing, including dynamic routing protocols (specifically BGP and OSPF).Knowledge of Cisco, Nexus 29K, Foundry, Citrix and Firewall technologies.Knowledge of software applications and proficiency using MS Office.Advanced understanding of security engineering experience, including firewall rule set construction and management, Intrusion Detections Systems, and network access control systems.Ability to remain cool and collected under pressure and able to dynamically adapt to changing work priorities and assignments.Willingness to work on any issue.Advanced understanding of security engineering experience, including firewall rule set construction and management, Intrusion Detections Systems, and network access control systems.Education / Experience Minimum 5 years professional experience.Bachelors Degree preferred, Associates degree or less acceptable with additional experience.CCIE Certification Required.
