These developers will be supporting the Opus applications. Day to Day This person will be on a team of 46 developers. They will spend their time doing pure J2EE Web Development. This is 90% new development, but will times where they will work on enhancements of apps currently in place. Opus is AT&Ts retail application. It will service 30 channels and they are still integrating the new channels. Opus began as strictly a point of sale system. It is now tied to Retail, B2B, Customer Service and will be integrating with other indirect channels. This is an extremely complex system that has had thousands of developers working on it over the years. This developer must be very analytical and able to learn the intricacies of the application.The first six months of the contract, this developer will be paired with a very senior developer on the team to mentor them. This developer will be focusing on Tier 3 support tickets. This team receives about 50 tickets a day. After the 6 months they will be working on more new development. This developer will be focusing mostly on Wireless and Customer Activation Modules. This person needs to have the ability to code the UI and then tie the UI to enterprise backend systems. This person also needs to have strong enough understanding of end to end development in order to communicate with the middle and back end developers on the team. Additional Information Do not like job hoppers. Likes to see tenure on resumes. SKILLS NEEDED IN DETAIL Front End Struts 1.2 Framework and Javascript. Must be able to develop Javascript FROM SCRATCH. HTML, CSS, Jquery, AJAX experience. Middle TierWeblogic App Servers ExperienceBackend EJB Stateless Beans and JDBC. Databases Oracle 10G and experience using TOAD. Web Services all SOAP and Rest consuming.
