Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain clear and accurate product and measurement specifications in PLM toolUpdate and create technical illustrations and construction callouts in Adobe IllustratorIdentify potential production, functional, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrityLead fit session on live model or fit formIssue fit and construction comments to vendorsEffective and timely communication with vendors throughout the product development cycleTrack and manage workflow and workload for own product, elevate any issues to meet deadlines to leader and present solutions to issuesAnalyze customer return rate and customer feedback and drive and implement product improvements as neededMaintain and develop consistent DT fit standards through live fittings, fit form fittings and pattern analysisDirect category responsibilityAnalyze, uphold and create garment construction standardsAnalyze fabric testing information to insure DT standards are met and identify needs for gaps in current protocolsTravel domestically and internationally when requiredOnboard vendors, review production, pilot lots and communicate DTC quality expectationsInteract with DT auditing to determine disposition of failed shipmentsInitiate and conduct competitive analysis when required, identify and implement product improvementsFacilitates special projects and process optimizationTrain, supervise and develop direct reports; as well as broader team when appropriate Knowledge and Background RequirementsBachelors degree in Apparel Design and Development, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 8 years of experience in technical designStrong fit, patternmaking and grading skillsStrong computer skills including Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to sketch in Adobe Illustrator Working knowledge of PLM systemsStrong knowledge of apparel construction and componentsStrong understanding of product engineering, manufacturing processes and quality control systemsExcellent prioritization and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to adapt to change and be selfdirectedStrong leadership skillsDemonstrated ability working in cross functional teams
