Summary The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the design, development and support of web, mobile and integration capabilities that span Penn Nationals gaming, retail, loyalty and analytics platforms. This role also collaborates with application and information architects to ensure new capabilities align to roadmaps and support the Companys strategic direction.Responsibilities The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Develops new customer facing web and mobile applications to support Penns marketing strategy.Executes all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, coding, code review, testing, bug tracking, change management, deployment and support.Participates in project planning, scoping and estimating.Develops trusted business relationships with property decision makers and executivesPartners with business and technology subjectmatter experts to translate business requirements into technology solutions.Coordinates with technology brokers to evaluate new integration technologies and service offerings.Coordinates with enterprise architects and information architects to ensure new services align to roadmaps and to understand the impact on the organizations information architecture.Engages external providers to resolve any issues in the functionality and interoperability of new applications, infrastructure, and other services with existing IT systems, both on premise and cloud.Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.To be successful in this position it will require the following skill setBachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) in computer science, management information systems, or related field required. Three to five years of experience in development and/or design of web service, web applications, mobile applications for iOS and/or Android, and integration technologies.Must have a broad business operation and technical background. Strong technical and problem resolution skills are required.Must have technical proficiency in Java, REST, SOAP web services, GIT (source code control), AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, S3, RDS, and Micros (POS System).Must have a working knowledge of C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB6, .NET, Spring Framework, Drools, Grails, Ionic2, Angular 1.4.5 or greater, Cordova, Node JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, LDAP, Active Director, UWP (Universal Windows Platform) Development, SQL Server, MySQL, and XML.Ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and persuasively.Ability to engage business partners and quickly develop trusting relationships.Ability to solve problems, think critically, and overcome delivery hurdles.Must possess the ability to determine department systematic needs and recommend changes.Ability to instruct new users on new and existing platforms.Must possess strong administrative and time/project management skills.Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Must have the ability to drive results, meet deadlines, and be proactive when working on tasks.
