Java Developer

Description

This individual will be involved in the design, development, and testing of the eRewards panels (web sites). Specifically Experience with development support; Able to follow development standards and procedures; ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and policies defined by eRewards development team Should be a selfstarter with intermediate to advanced technical skills Will work with application architect, team lead, and peer developers to coordinate strategic issue resolution, design, defect resolution, tactical enhancements, documentation, and release management. Should be capable of assisting in development of unit test plans, integration test plans, and execution of tests. Develop strong partnership with development, QA, production control, & other technology teams Review application and technical deliverables throughout development to ensure completeness, consistency, quality and requirement traceability; ensure that development standards are followed, including code reviews and unit testing. Required1. 3 year minimum J2EE web application development experience, including a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JSP/Servlets, and Javascript (including AJAX). 2. 3 years SQL experience.3. Undergraduate Degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science or Information Systems required. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.Preferred1. Proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL, JDBC, connection pooling, SQL tuning and optimization.2. Experience with Agile development methodology (e.g. Scrum).3. Solid understanding of SOA and experience with related technologies including SOAP Web Services, JMS, etc.4. Familiarity with GOF design patterns.5. Experience with MVC (Spring, Struts, etc.).Nontechnical skills required1. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.2. Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.3.
