Job Description AMod Implementation Architect App Migration COTS HP Job Title Technology Consultant IV Position Title AMod Implementation Architect Server toServer Database ConsultantPosition Description The AMod Implementation Architect (IA) is a member of the implementation team in the HP Applications Modernization practice. The IA is a senior technical specialist in one or more AMod capabilities. The S2S database Transformation IA has a deep specialty in the technology of transforming databases to a new target platform.The IA works to engineer and design methods, architectures, and environments for implementation of modernized database applications. The IA also works directly within modernization implementation projects.The IA is responsible for combining information extracted from source artifacts with information gathered via interviews and surveys to assist in moving relational databases, custom code, and commercial off the shelf applications into open system environments such as UNIX and Linux. Initial unit testing and the support of user acceptance/system testing are also expected.The IA supports solution and estimate development for the presales process.The IA also works with the Architecture & Portfolio teams to ensure engineered solutions are included in the appropriate service offerings and capabilities. Responsibilities 1) it is to work with Credit Suisses DBAs to plan, migrate, and test the data. 2) It is to work with my C++ programmers to make sure all the database calls work and if there are any differences between the Solaris and Linux version of the database manager to help make the query corrections. Support engineering of AMod capabilities and tools solutions Produce component build artifacts and publish in Knowledge Centre Provide direct support for delivery of engineered solutions Interface and maintain a technical relationship with vendors to maintain product knowledge and to ensure engineering direction aligns with vendor roadmap Interface and lead Delivery teams to develop global processes, standards and solutions Interface with Technology & Architecture team to ensure engineered solutions are included in the appropriate architectures and Tech Policy Interface with Portfolio team to ensure engineered solutions are included in the cost models and reflected in the HP respective service offerings Technical Skills Expert Database technologies similar to the followingo Oracleo Sybaseo SQL Servero DB2o MySQL Knowledgeable in scriptingo Perlo C/Bourne/Bash/K Capable of reading/writing;o SQL/PSMo PSQLo SQL PLo TSQLo PL/SQLo PL/pgSQLo PL/PSM Understands Virtualization from a high level and how it effects database consolidation Integrate Solutions with other components (where applicable) Provide packaging guidance Solutions for Apps Delivery, as neededo Produce Technical Reference Guideo Produce Deployment Guideo Produce Operations Guideo Produce User Guide (where applicable)o Produce Training Materials (where applicable) Review processes, standards, requirements, etc. and discuss as appropriate to ensure full comprehensionCertifications None Preferred Experience Large database applications development and technology experience Experience working with server class database application development, implementation and support Years of Experience 510 years preferred
