Essential Duties and Responsibilities Be part of a team that will identify, assess, and record nearterm business needs, recommend business priorities, document business requirements, and provide insight on options, risk and cost vs. benefitInteract with Technical and Business stakeholders to perform analysis of business requirementsAssist development staff in design of new functionality by clarifying requirementsManage requirements change control processAnalyze and document business and system processesProduce work and process flow diagramsCreate and maintain requirements models including use cases, activity and sequence diagramsIdentify data conversion and migration issuesIdentify user training needs; and plan, schedule and conduct user training on new releasesPlan and manage User Acceptance Testing processFacilitate and participate in JAD sessions, document results of JAD sessions, develop use cases, and obtain client approval of completed use casesDefine structured business process and provide direct support to key business ownersPrepare documentation including Requirements Specifications and Support Documentation to include formal process mapping, meeting minutes, Glossary, Data Dictionary, nonfunctional requirement specifications, and requirements management reportsTroubleshoot problems and develop recommendations and solutions for the client and development teamCreate and maintain requirements repositories including traceability and attribute matrices using Rational toolsDirect (or mentor) and train junior analysts on requirements management and requirements developmentQualifications Knowledge of requirements gathering techniquesValuesbased personality with the ability to work selflessly in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills are a mustAbility to maintain positive and healthy relationships with all project team members and customersMust be able to take ownership of assignments and seek creative solutionsCapable of coordinating work efforts of multiple groupsFamiliarity with CMMI Requirements Management and Requirements Development Process AreasEducation / Experience Bachelors Degree with at least 5 years of applicable experience.Minimum 7 years experience as analystPreferred majors and minors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Management & TechnologyWorking knowledge of programming, networking and infrastructure and/or server administration is preferred but not requiredMust be flexible, adaptable to change, and able to multi task in a fastpaced diverse environmentExperience with Rational Unified Process tools
