Position Description Ford.s Smart Mobility is an exciting and fastpaced area.This space includes the nonFord vehicle related mobility efforts such as digital and mobility services monetization, city transportation solutions, alternative transportation methods, commercial fleets and new digital services and may more to come.The Ford Smart Mobility organization is responsible for delivering mobility solutions as part of Ford.s emerging business opportunities.You can join us in the fun of building solutions that provide a differentiating capability for Ford in the global market.The Ford Smart Mobility Architect will be responsible for understanding technical business requirements, and defining technical architecture based solutions that align to Ford Motor Company.s Patterns and Standards.Needs to have a solid working knowledge around the following competencies . Full application/Agile system development lifecycle knowledge and experience .Expertise in interoperability standards and methods .Expertise with Restful API development methods and implementation technologies such as web services in a distributed architecture deployments .Experience in designing and implementing enterprise Restful API.s in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, PCF) . Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with seniorlevel management helping in decision making .Knowledge of industry standard java frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns .Previous experience as application architect on multiple largescale product or enterprise initiatives, preferred .Support the application team in the development of the technical design and documentation .Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues .Participate in vendor solution evaluation processes .Demonstrated ability to work on multiple project efforts simultaneously Skills Required Bachelors Degree .Strong architecture knowledge with experience in providing technical solutions for projects .5+ years of relevant work experience in Application and Restful API development .Excellent problem solving skills including leading problem solving teams .Selfstarter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top notch solutions .Selfresearcher, ability to research a technology and provide insight to project team .Strong communication skills both verbal and written .Experience implementing or supporting mobile applications and frameworks .Experience with interoperability and the myriad of ways to exchange data effectively and securely .Experience with Java technologies, Rest Web Services, Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, MVC and Spring Cloud Services), Messaging architectures .Experience with mobile application development .Negotiation skills and ability to work with several and diverse set of stakeholders/customers Experience Preferred Preferred Qualifications Masters degree .Mobile Telephony . Mobile and HTTP protocol knowledge .Architecting public facing solutions .Cloud Foundry architectures (e.g. Cloud Foundry, Pivotal Cloud Foundry) .Understanding of highly available scalable global architectures. (99.99 percent availability or less than 1 hour of scheduled and unscheduled downtime per year with greater than 3M global connections) . Knowledge of Ford standards and processes .Implementing Vehicle Systems software or working with device based telemetry data .Experience in trouble shooting complex systems and performance testing and tuning .Experience with Mobile client applications .Network knowledge No .
