General Job Summary Will be responsible for configuring, developing, deploying, and supporting customized intranet, clientfacing web sites, and applications utilizing Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Server 2010 and third party components. The position will also require the application of systems analysis techniques and user consultation skills through the process of created detailed specifications, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining various custom and packaged applications. Ability to lead technical implementations through to completion is a critical requirement of this position. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adherence to the departments standard Project Methodology in all technology initiatives Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle. Design and document system architecture including Out Of the Box (OOTB) and custom components. Guide developers and administrators to implement the target architecture by building components and custom designs, prototyping the system, and conducting any required data migration while maintaining technical integrity and consistency. Design, develop, and maintain custom components (master pages, workflows, user controls, web parts and serverside code, InfoPath forms etc.) for corporate intranet web sites and client portals deployed to SharePoint 2013 environments. Develop custom applications in support of enterprise projects utilizing SharePoint in a way that leverages the use of OOTB SharePoint features and functionality. Design and develop OOTB workflows and custom workflows using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio. Understand the configuration, architecture, and installation of Application Services such as Search, Excel, PerformancePoint, Managed Metadata, Business Connectivity, Users and Profiles etc. Understand core SharePoint constructs such as Master Pages, content types, site columns, lists, templates, page layouts, metadata etc. Work with Project Manager and Business Analysts to design and develop capabilities that meet business requirements. Examine requirements documents and create technical designs, unit tests, system tests, and implementation plans for projects. Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions. Must have a firm understanding of the platform differences between SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 and be able to concisely recommend viable migration options based on existing SharePoint environments. Ability to demonstrate strong team interaction, time management, consulting and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to multitask with minimum supervision Participate in system projects as a team member and/or team leader Respond to Firm personnels software and/or hardware questions and/or problems. Make modifications to the application system software and/or hardware. Adherence to all Firm and department policies related to hours, completion of status reports, etc. Develop solutions and provides support for browserspecific compatibility issues Recognize system deficiencies and propose alternative architectures and solutions Create and maintain quality written documentation of Firm systems Perform all other duties as assigned Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Network hardware configuration Develop and maintain internal development environment Provide web infrastructure support Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Advanced experience with SharePoint 2013 Out Of the Box (OOTB) features. Advanced experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Visio, and workflow creation is required. Advanced experience with .NET Framework 4.5, C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET is required. Advanced experience with XML & XSLT. Advanced experience with Strong web development skills (HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript & JQuery and Web Services) Advanced experience with MS SQL Server 2012/2018 (TransactSQL and/or PL/SQL) Experience with Visual Studio 2013/2012 is required. Experience with Microsoft Office 2013 and 2010 is required. Capability to review event logs to conduct troubleshooting is required. Experience with PowerShell script is required. Experience with Team Foundation Server 2013/2010 is required. Experience with Microsofts BI stack is a plus. Experience with industry accepted design patterns and best practices is a plus. Administer IIS 7.0 FTP functions Ability to demonstrate strong team interaction, time management, oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask with minimum supervision. Must be able to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with constantly changing demands. Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business/computer science Working Conditions Desk type position which requires a combination of sedentary and standing activities Office type environment (cubicle) located in the Information Systems Department Daily use of personal computer and associated software systems.
