Business Analyst

Description

Candidates must have experience with Database applications and the ability to do SQL querying. Physical Demands Normal physical demands associated with working in an office environment and prolonged computer usage Duties Supports the project's requirements process by ensuring the process outputs needed by the project team are created in a timely fashion. Outputs may include business and functional requirements, use cases, flow diagrams, etc. Responsible for tracking the key output documents and notifying the project team of changes and potential impacts to project requirements. Also, initiate change request when needed. Lead functional requirements gathering sessions with the business. Document and validate functional requirements with the business. Assist in the review of functional requirements with IT. Interface with business users from publishing, tech, editorial and business planning to help define the business processes as well as gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Maintain and promote excellent communications within both the business and IT. Work closely with development to define and design business solutions. Provides technical support for applications. Validate and recreate issues reported by the business. Work with IT to provide resolutions in a timely manner. Collaborate with project managers and team leads to identify opportunities to improve functionality of an application and increase operating efficiency. Lead the user acceptance testing effort. Quality assessments of our content enhancements and updates by defining and generating clear metrics to track progress of testing efforts.Work with business owners to developing UAT test plans/cases. Coordinate final signoff of all enhancements with QA, IT and business owners.Performs other work of the department but not that of a higher grade.
