General Duties Plans and evaluates existing moderately complex network systems in order to support network planning, engineering, architecture, and the development of technical standards and interface applicationsSupports operational maintenance of data center, local area, worldwide, virtual private networks and evaluates feature and functionality changes within this environmentMaintains expertise in application and network performance tools, resolves network problems and escalates higher impact network issues. Leads the planning and execution of network implementation projects.Leads the planning and execution of network implementation projects.Support the mill's LAN and related computer systems by ensuring proper configuration/optimization of the operating system, providing technical support in the implementation of applications and system updates/fixes; maintaining software license compliance, and coordinating the mill's LAN hardware/software inventory Provide operational support to the mill's LAN and related computer systems, restoring system capability when required and performing system backups and housekeeping on a scheduled basis. Resolve technical problems with the mill's LAN and related computer systems by coordinating hardware repairs and service as necessary, diagnosing and correcting file system errors and resolving network connectivity problems. Provide related support services to the mill such as coordinating the procurement and installation of LAN hardware/software, providing a training resource on network applications, application development/process integration and related Plant and Equipment plans. Maintains the Beech Island SharePoint and traditional HTML/ASP.NET websites.Supports technical issues related to Computerized ProductionsSystems.Seeks out and relays to management and to other ITS team member's future technology recommendations. Also, serves as coordinator for recommendations by the other ITS team members.Maintain site Business Continuity Plan for ITS.Maintain 1 5 year ITS plan.Ensure that the LAN and related computer systems are in compliance with established control procedures Demonstrates a commitment to quality performance through personal example by adopting a customerbased philosophy in the level of service provided Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.
