Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

We are a new, small product development team that operates like a tech startup within Roche. Our goal is to bring together complex diagnostic and treatment data from medical devices and healthcare IT systems to improve patient care and accelerate the development of new therapies. The Senior Software Engineer, Frontend, is critical to our success. We are looking for talented individuals to apply knowledge of design principles and practices in the implementation of complex applications to build an intuitive and rich user experience aimed at modern browsers. Responsibilities Collaborate with Product and UX on product design and delivery Write maintainable, reliable, secure, performant, reusable frontend systems Write code that is easily automation testable Write unit tests Lead and participate in design and code reviews Ensure our software stack integrates with our CI/CD pipeline and contribute to continuous improvement Identify and communicate frontend best practices Above all, deliver software that meets the needs of the product. Maintain a culture that values technical excellence together with support and compassion for individuals.Minimum Qualifications BS degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline Have successfully built, deployed, and supported an enterprisescale web application in the cloud Expertise in Javascript ES6+ Expertise in webcomponentbased frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular, React) Expertise in HTML5 and CSS with SASS or LESS Know your way around git 25+ years of experience Preferred Qualifications MS degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline Fullstack engineer with experience in Java or C++ AWS experience with Linux Experience with healthcare data and workflows (e.g. HL7, FHIR)
