Position OverviewSenior eCommerce BackEnd Developers we're looking for applicants who can work independently and deliver highquality JEE code in a timely manner across a variety of project engagements. Candidates are expected to participate in multiple phases of projects, including requirements gathering, software design, development and testing. They must be proficient with JEE and objectoriented programming, including software design and design patterns and standard application servers such as Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere or JBoss AS. Experience working with eCommerce platforms like hybris or Demandware or integrating with diverse frontend technologies (iOS, Android, HTML5) is a plus.Candidates must be proficient with standard Java development tools (open source frameworks like Spring, Hibernate), build tools (like ANT, Maven) and popular IDEs such as Eclipse, as well as unit testing (JUnit, TestNG) and logging frameworks (SLF4J, Log4J).Senior BackEnd Developers must have IT consulting experience, be familiar with a team approach to execution, possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and be willing to travel. Training is available on an asneeded basis to assist with project demands.ResponsibilitiesDeliver highquality JEE code and documentation in a timely manner with little supervisionAccurately report issues and status to project managementParticipate in technical requirements gathering, design and testingAssist/mentor junior developersRequired Experience / SkillsCompleted at least three full professional software engineering projects across multiple platformsHave core Java (JDK 1.5+) expertiseExpert in objectoriented programming conceptsProficiency with software design fundamentals and design patternsUnderstanding of web application concepts and HTTP protocolsProficiency with web languages, including HTML and JavaScriptProficiency with the Spring frameworkExperience with enterprise application servers (Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss)Proficiency with relational database fundamentals (Oracle, Sybase, etc.)Proficiency with at least one IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.)Experience with at least one Java templating language (JSP or Velocity)Proficiency in unit testing and logging framework (JUnit, TestNG, SLF4J, Log4J)Experience with build tools (Maven, ANT) and continuous integrationUnderstanding of ORM concepts or experience with an implementation (Hibernate or other JPA)Experience with at least one of the following commerce platforms hybris, Demandware, ATG or WebSphere CommerceNice to HaveExperience with various Spring modules (MVC, Aspects, Security, Data, Core, etc.)Experience in different development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)Experience with alternate scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Groovy, Ruby, etc.)Experience with mobile platforms (Android, iOS)Experience writing complex RDBMS queries and proceduresExperience working with open source frameworks (Hibernate, Velocity, etc.)Experience with nonrelational or documentoriented database technologiesExperience with profiling, tuning and optimizing JEE web applicationsExperience with a major CMS package (Percussion, Day or Javabased enterprise CMS)Familiarity with source control concepts (Subversion or Git)Familiarity with the eCommerce domain
