.NET Developer

Description

The Senior .NET Developer reports to the Director, Software and Quality Assurance and will serves as a technical leader in developing applications and services for our new and existing product offerings. In this challenging role, you will be involved in bridging the gaps between business and technology through extensive involvement with key business and technology stakeholders. The Senior .NET Developer will provide solutions that solve both short and longterm needs of the business, and then will play a key role in the implementation of the organizations technical vision.The Senior .NET Developer will also be responsible for working with other developers within the team to provide assistance, mentoring, and guidance. The Senior .NET Developer should have experience in all phases of development from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance, and should be familiar with, and an advocate of software development lifecycle methodologies including RUP, Agile, and Extreme programming. ResponsibilitiesThe Senior .NET Developer will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to Develop and deploy Web and .NETbased applications and servicesLeading and conducting design and code reviews for both peers and junior developersParticipate and be an advocate for issue resolution and change control processesWork closely with business leaders to understand strategic and financial objectives and translate them into technical specifications and applicationsLead and participate in architecture and design meetings for major components and subsystemsDevelop and document designs for components, modules and subsystemsAssist Director with defining and estimating project task effort and required resourcesRecommend and drive best practices, standards, processes and tools for the development organizationOther duties as assigned Required SkillsThe Senior .NET Developer must have the following skills and experience to perform this job effectively ADO.NET, OLEDB, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, JQuery, Javascript, XML, Web Services7 10 years developing business application software5 7+ years designing and architecting enterpriseclass, mission critical software6 8+ years developing solutions with Microsoft technologies, especially .NET, C# and ASP.NET4 6+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server3+ years providing direction to other developersUnquestioned integrityDemonstrated proficiency with design patterns and SOA architecturesExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong, problem solving and analytical capabilitiesGood interpersonal, conflict resolution and customer service skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, high volume, deadlinedriven environmentAbility to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutionsProfessional maturity in dealing with all levels of management and staffExperience with full life cycle of projects from establishing requirements through delivery and production supportAbility to demonstrate a strong character established through a strong work ethicAbility to be accountable, take ownership, and be held accountable for decisions as demonstrated through everyday work situations Preferred SkillsCandidates with the following abilities and skills are preferred.Application development / integration experience with Team Foundation Server version control softwareExperience working in a production environment with IIS 7, SQL Server 2014Demonstrated security software development trainingFamiliarity with automated testing tools and regression testingExperience with open source tools and technologies
