Description
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in math, computer science, engineering, or physical science (physics, atmospheric science, earth science, meteorology, etc.)Minimum of 3 years of related experience or an advanced degree.Demonstrated experience in software development of scientific, geospatial, or engineering applications.Proficiency in one or more computer languages such as C++ or Python.Proficiency in Linux / UNIX / shell scripting.Proficiency in one or more version control systems such as Git, Subversion, Perforce, IBM Rational ClearCase, etc.Desired Qualifications Proficiency in developing software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing servers.Experience working with databases (MySQL).Experience working with large data sets.High performance computing and code optimization, including experience in multithreading and multiprocessing applications, and GPGPU programming.
