What you will do Design and implement next generation core application backend componentsIdentify when to replace and when to rebuild legacy systemsEnsure all systems (new and legacy) are scalable and productionreadyWork with our performance experts and use your own expertise to improve performanceWork with monitoring and observability experts and use your own expertise to improve observabilityEducate internal customers on how to best venture into our codebaseOrganize, plan, and lead large projects through to completionSome technologies we work with Python, Django, Celery, Postgres, Redis, ElasticsearchDocker, Jenkins, LinuxCircleCI, Heroku, AWS, Google Cloud PlatformMonitoring and observability toolingQualifications You find satisfaction in being a force multiplier for your colleaguesYou look at engineering problems holisticallyYou stay on top of technical trends, and know how to use them pragmaticallyYou are selfmotivated, yet still enjoy working in partnership across an organizationYou have some experience with Python
