Requirements Strong level knowledge of Java and Java web applicationsStrong understanding of modern Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, etc)Solid OOD and OOP skills are requiredPrevious experience delivering products in an Agile environment (XPpair programming)Experience developing enterprise applications that support high traffic volumes3 or more years of professional software development experienceExposure to modern software practices such as TDD, CI/CD, etc. is requiredPrevious consulting experience is a plusWorking experience with microservice architectures is a plusWorking experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusWorking experience with modern web application frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, etc) is also a plusPrevious exposure to Pivotal is a huge plusBS in Computer Science or a related fieldEssential functions Estimation/Scope Review the estimates with the Lead Developer, and challenge it when necessaryCollaborate with the Lead Developer to identify and mitigate risks on assigned tasksManage the scope of the assigned tasks during development life cyclePrevent scope creep by promptly addressing issues with Lead DeveloperBe proactive to identify the risk and issuesEstimate smaller projects ( 100 hours) and confirm the numbers with Lead Developer and PMIdentify new opportunitiesArchitecture Have good understanding of different technologies that DragonSpears usesDesign the assigned section architecture and confirm with Lead DeveloperUnderstand appropriate solution provided based up on the viability of different optionsEnsure that DragonSpears best practices and coding standards are followed in the projectElicit feedbacks and request periodic code reviews from Lead DeveloperImplement proper unit tests for both server side and client side code.Ensure that all the unit tests are functional and passing all the times
