UI/UX Developer

Description

ROLE SUMMARYA UI/UX Developer needs to be ready to share their passion and dive in to the creation of digital solutions across a variety of platforms including websites and apps for desktop and mobile devices. This role requires strong design, communication, and collaboration skills in order to work closely with product teams to deliver intuitive and engaging experiences. The ideal candidate will be handson from the conceptual stage through prototyping, then working closely with other designers and developers to ensure quality of implementation.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESBalance business and product requirements by considering market analysis, user feedback, site metrics, and usability findings to design well purposeful content organization and simplified experiencesParticipate in user research planning and execution to identify user needs, goals, and preferences, and collect feedback to incorporate into deliverablesCreate user personas and scenarios to develop process and user flowsDeliver concepts on paper, wireframes or detailed prototypes to communicate solutions and test with usersDevelop design specifications and standards in the form of journeys, storyboards, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes to ensure the digital experience flows seamlessly from one step to the next and clearly communicates the information architecture and intended interaction behaviorsWork closely with developers to ensure technical feasibility and quality of design execution, and collaborate on alternative solutions when scope or technical implementation challenges ariseParticipate as needed in QA testing, providing clear descriptions of issues and opportunitiesWork with analytics team to determine post launch success metrics and use the collected data to suggest improvementsHelp to create and maintain our pattern library, design system, documentation and templates so the process gets easier as time goes onWork in iterative processes, including agile and lean methodologiesPerform as a team player and help support the evolution of a growing user experience teamREQUIRED SKILLS5+ years of work experience in information architecture and interaction design, creating digital solutions for complex web and mobile applicationsExcellent portfolio showcasing information architecture and interaction design artifacts for desktop and mobile devices; Candidate will be required to show a few projects from conception to completion, talk through their process, and the role they playedUnwavering empathy for user needs and the ability to link them to measurable solutionsMastery of transforming requirements and ideas into deliverables including flows, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes that communicate design requirements to the project teamAdvanced knowledge of information architecture, usability, user centered design principals and interaction designAdvanced knowledge of various web development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) as they relate to designStrong understanding of website design methodologies (e.g. mobile first, responsive/adaptive design) and native mobile app development standards across iOS and AndroidExperience with consuming RESTful APIs; experiencing with building APIs is a plusExperience with user research, usability testing and site analytics is a plus EXPERIENCE5+ years experience EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field/experience.
