AWS Architect

Description

This person will lead the migration of Laureates onpremises system to the cloud and be the architect on the project. He will be leading the discussion with the customer on the migration project and be the key person to suggest and build the overall cloud environment architecture for the customer.Experience Seasoned professional with proven knowledge of AWS platform and toolsIn depth knowledge and working experience with AWS services. (EC2, S3, etc) Experience in driving projects from an architecture standpoint. Experience building scalable production systems (Clusters, load balancers, memcached, master /slave architectures.) Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud and overall industry to provide thought leadership and mentor team to build necessary competency. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Certification on AWS desirable.Roles and responsibilities. Define migration strategies to move application to the cloud. Develop architecture blueprints and detail documentation based on study of technology landscape and application workloads. Design overall VPC environment including server instance, storage, subnets, Availability zones , etc. Design AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity. Design HA/ DR strategies Set up process, service and tools for the cloud. Execute the migration plan leveraging all AWS services and oversee overall build of the environments. Validate to meet all security / compliance controls.Baltimore, MD/Bridgewater, NJ (Candidate can be based out of any of this location)
