LAN Systems Engineer

Description

The LAN Systems Engineer I performs intermediate level of technical skill and expertise in LAN Systems Engineering. He/She plans, prioritizes and manages moderately complex projects, service requests, and routine assignments. The person in this role serves on a crossfunctional team to manage a full spectrum of technology issues and problems. The LAN Systems Engineer I provides ITS solutions and services which ultimately contribute to patient safety and care. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required in Information Technology Computer/Information Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Related Field Experience or Degree in a Different Subject Area will be Considered in lieu of Required Education 4 years Complex Corporate Systems Required 2 years Windows/Linux systems engineering, design, implementation and Support of large scale LANs Required in Healthcare Setting PreferredOne or more of the following certifications Required in Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Linux, VMware, CitrixOther OS engineer level certifications CTS Certified Technology Specialist AIS Accredited Integration Specialist Vendor Specific Substantial experience leading complex technical projects.Advanced knowledge of network protocols and routing, network, server, and host operating systems; IP networking, internet and intranet technologies; email, office automation and collaboration technologies; client operating systems, server hardware, software, and administrationAdvanced hardware expertise with server blade solutions. Advanced knowledge of storage solutions, backup technologies and high availability cluster solutionsAdvanced experience with VMware virtualization technologiesAdvanced experience with Citrix and thinclient technologiesAdvanced technical knowledge of Intelbased operating systems (Windows, Linux), and Windows Active Directory to include Advanced knowledge of local and wide area networking on multiple platforms Windows, and Linux, Citrix farms
