Network Engineer (Cloud)

Description

Responsibilities Design, develop and implement our cloud infrastructure connectivity strategyDefine the service model, interfaces, key operating metrics and ongoing processes for production support of our cloud network connectivity.Assist current engineers to migrate our legacy applications and systems from onprem data centers and infrastructure to public cloud.Design, implement and manage an enterprise cloud managed wireless infrastructureConfigure, deploy and manage firewalls, switches, routers, VPN appliances, load balancers and network management tools in a multivendor environmentPerform complex engineering, implementation, maintenance, and hardware/software upgrade of routing, security infrastructure, and switchingHandle complex internal analysis and support of the network and security infrastructure and anticipate networking and security needs for planning and budgetingLead all auditing and documentation of the environment on a regular basis, including analyzing and delivering network performance metrics as neededAs a technical lead, you will perform multifunctional training to other engineering disciplinesExperience and Skills Must have strong firsthand experience working with public cloud infrastructure and with virtual networking and private cloud technologiesBe a selfstarter, assertive, well organized, and have precise attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skillsMust have direct experience working on multisite and/or data center connectivity for HA/DR applicationsMust enjoy problemsolving, applying critical thinking and calmness to find solutions in highpressure situationsMust enjoy working in a collaborative environment leading/working with our global teamsHave had handson experience with Router/Switch (Cisco), Firewall (Cisco/Juniper), switches, UCS servers and security appliances and have built highlevel expertise in IP routing and switching fundamentalsExperienced with and enjoy implementing, operating, and fixing VLAN, STP and other layer 2 technologies, as well as, BGP, OSPF routing protocols, MPLS VPN and firewall policy
