Software Engineer

ResponsibilitiesWe are currently conducting a search for a talented Software Engineer. We will consider experience of all levels. The incumbent will be involved in New Product Development working on commercial laboratory instrumentation. You will be a member of an Agile team and have the opportunity to work on the full technology stack (e.g. Visual Studio, C#, WPF, Entity Framework, Oracle). Successful candidates will be able to learn quickly and operate independently and cooperatively.Designing, developing, and supporting applications for the Life Science industryDeveloping software using Visual Studio and the .NET Framework / C#Understanding and analyzing project requirements and translating into programming deliverablesWorking with software engineers and product managers to build applications as the company growsSupporting quality assurance to achieve quality objectivesStrong analytical and problem solving skillsParticipation in Agile development processes with a teamQualificationsBS/BA in Computer Science or related applied engineering discipline or equivalent work experienceStrong overall programming experience using an objectoriented languageComfortable working with hardwareRelational database experienceObjectOriented analysis, design and development commensurate with experience level Understanding of SOLID and DRY principlesExperience or willingness to write automated unit tests (e.g NUnit)Pluses Experience with scripting (Roslyn, CSScript)LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)Experience with WPF and GUI Experience with RESTful programmingGood understanding of computer communications (TCP/IP, RS232)Lab automation integration experienceLiquid handling experienceExposure to a Life Science industryExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with test driven development or behavioral driven developmentMobile application development / Internet of Things
