POSITION PROFILEAs a Cloud Engineer on the Engineering team, you will be responsible for design, engineering, and optimization of current and emerging technologies that support Ricoh's managed service offerings. This role requires skills from a blend of traditional infrastructure technologies, Cloud IaaS and PaaS offerings, experience with product development and operational experience. The successful candidate will be able to understand and drive solid requirements and then use those to design, procure, deploy, configure, test, and activate solutions. Excellent crossteam collaboration, technical skills, and clear communications are required.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIndependently manage and lead technical projects starting with requirements gathering through design and implementation.Work closely with product managers, application Engineers, operations groups and external vendors to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder involvement.Proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authorityDemonstrate excellent diplomacy, negotiation and collaboration abilities.Strong communication and presentation skillsPlan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives; technically guide projects through to completion.Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of highqualityEnsure technical solutions meet the needs of business such as cost, performance, and security.Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challengesDuring the procurement process work with vendors and resellers ensuring to manage cost within the boundaries of the defined budgetDocument solutions, provide formal training to operations staff during product turn upEvaluation of new technologies and toolsQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)Minimum 5 years of experience working in Information Technology specifically data center environments with technologies such as Virtualization, Storage, and NetworkingIdeal candidate would possess a Certification in one or more of the following;MCSA Cloud PlatformMCSE Cloud Platform and InfrastructureVMware VCP6 Cloud,AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.Dell EMCCA EMC Cloud ArchitectSome experience with Public Cloud infrastructure service offerings from Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS is highly desiredAbility to Define the Cloud Architecture for both hybrid and nonhybrid cloud solutionsAdvanced understanding of Microsoft products in deployed to large scale environmentsActive Directory architecture (Hosting Multitenant environments a plus)Microsoft clustering in a virtual environmentCreation, maintenance, and management of Windows OS virtual templatesExtensive use of automation scripts to perform typical administrative functions, report generation, integrity checking, etc.Strong practical Linux and/or Windowsbased systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.Minimum two years' experience in scripting and programming skills, preferably using PowerShell, Perl, Python, Ruby, and/or BASHUnderstanding of Data Center virtualization technologiesExperience with troubleshooting and incident response best practicesSystems monitoring Key Performance IndicatorsAbility to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlinesMature verbal and written communication skills requiredAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionAbility to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleaguesPreferred experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience57 years of systems engineering experienceKnowledge of Azure or AWSExperience working in a large service provider environment or Enterprise environmentsMCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure preferredAWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred
