Data Architect

Description

The Data Architect supports our Architecture team in their ongoing efforts to integrate our internal proprietary systems with external client systems. Responsibilities include developing, supporting, operating, and troubleshooting data integration software, working with clients to understand their data, and analyzing and cleansing data.The Data Architect works with a team of experienced software analysts, software developers and subject matter experts to build and maintain highperformance enterprise systems that increase the companys productivity, quality of service, and financial performance. The Data Architect is instrumental in enterprise database design, and is required to conduct database design and code reviews for other architecture team members and web developers. Must have strong database analysis, design, and development experience in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 environment. Thorough knowledge and understanding of relational database design, query, storage, and performance principles are a must. Advanced knowledge of TSQL and SQL Server system tables is a must. Must have strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills. The Data Architect must have the ability to interview subject matter experts to derive system requirements, and work with application developers to formulate a data model to support those requirements. Must have experience using some type of third generation computer language, an ObjectRelational Mapping tool, and integrated development environment to create dynamic serverbased web applications and web services. Experience with configuring, operating, and/or developing services with WebMethods Integration Server is helpful. Must be proficient in creating technical data mapping and analysis documentation, and in performing thorough analysis and testing. The Data Architect must understand the software development lifecycle and must be detailoriented and have good organizational skills. Must have good verbal communication and technical presentation skills. Experience in the Insurance or Mortgage Servicing industry is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
