Top Three Skills Experience doing Machine Learning Architect and Strategy, not just development Background in R, Python, Scala Ability to do research and gap analysis Job Description This person will be building out a brand new Machine Learning team at State Farm in Atlanta. They will be working at a strategic and architect level, finding gaps, doing research, and working with developers to make sure that they are doing the right thing. They will not to as much hands on development but will be overseeing the group and their goals.State Farm is looking for someone that has experience with a big picture approach and understand the current data ecosystem. Day to day They will be involved in very little meeting but will be more research and mentoring other people. The research will be mainly real life research and not white papers....like building POC and prototypes and using the solutions in their space. They will also be building our code artifacts for other groups to finish building out. This person needs to be a big picture thinker that is driven to bring State Farm to higher levels with their Machine Learning skillset. The ideal person would come from a small environment and already have started a machine learning strategy and is now wanting to move onto bigger challenges within a big company. Additional Information Additional duties Setting standards and guidelines for the products to ensure consistent use to minimize impact to the availability of the Machine Learning Platform and other infrastructure used for data analytics Identifying, recommending and implementing new tools and patterns based on industry direction and business needs Creating and supporting procedures and patterns Providing third level support for the products using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Incident, Problem and Change Management principles, practices and using a ticketbased tool. Creating and supporting automated solutions for provisioning new solutions. Creating and supporting automated monitoring and recovery solutions. Providing and maintaining code snippets that enable consumers to learn how to enable solutions Assisting on requests and may lead specific tasks within an efforts scope of work Afterhours support may be necessary on occasion.
