Responsibilities Provide significant contribution to the design, development, and implementation of critical business applications using the .Net framework, Duck Creek Technologies Policy, and SQL Server technologies Perform coding, debugging and testingWork with traditional software development life cycle methodologies with an emphasis on Agile. This includes project scoping, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementationExtensive user involvement to assist the Business Analysts define requirements and create design documentsAbility to work independently as well as thrive in a team oriented environmentExcellent analytical skills to understand current environment and business needs and provide innovative ideas to improve processesSupport the service goals of Global Indemnity towards its agents, employees, and publicActively collaborate with Agile Pod and business teams on a daily basisPosition Requirements 5+ years of experience designing and developing for Duck Creek Policy Administration Platform required (Skins, Data, Rating)Fouryear college diploma or university degree in software engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experienceExtensive knowledge with designing and developing Manuscript hierarchies for Duck Creek PolicyExperience with XML and related technologies such as XSLT, XQuery, XPathExperience with JavaScript and CSS/SkinsExperience in objectoriented analysis, design and developmentExperience in working with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL server (Oracle, DB2, etc. accepted), including proven database designAbility to conduct research into softwarerelated issues and productsHighly selfmotivated and directedStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environmentExperience working both independently and in a teamoriented, collaborative environmentStrong organization skills with attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problemsolving skillsProven experience with users to understand and define requirementsPrior Insurance industry knowledgeP&C desired
