Impact you will make in the role Key contributor to the development and maintenance of Accela Mobile and other core Civic Platform mobile apps that interfaces with both government agencies and citizen access alikeAbility to Interpret product architecture and system designAnalyze complex system and business requirementsPerform Code Reviews, Unit testing, documenting and implementing software best practicesOptimize mobile applications to maximize speed and scalePerform system wide analysis to ensure the proposed solution is the bestinclass without causing any negative impactDrive quality across team by constantly building easytouse development frameworksWork with QA engineers to develop testing protocols to identify and correct defectsExpertise you will bring in Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field6+ years of development experience as a seasoned Software Engineer5+ years of experience working on JavaScript applicationsStrong Experience writing modern JavaScript applications (preferably with Typescript)Strong Experience with hybrid mobile frameworks (Ionic, Cordova/Phonegap)Experience with native mobile application development a plusStrong experience with HTML5/CSS3 (& SCSS)Strong foundation in RESTful APIs, data structures, algorithms, and software designProven ability to coach/mentor junior engineers on the team, provide technical direction, perform design/code reviews and champion engineering best practicesTrack record of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers across organizations (QA, Development, PM, UX, etc)Experience working in continuous integration and continuous deployment systems (CICD)Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, organization and interpersonal skillsIndependent thinker with creative, resourceful and proactive problemsolving skills
