Position Description We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the team that defines Oktas Feature Lifecycle and Administrator Experience. Your work will be front and center to thousands of Okta customer administrators that drive Okta functionality for millions of end users.Our team strives to delight our admins as if they were consumers. We also own the Feature Toggle framework, which helps support CI/CD and the packaging of SKUs. We expect great things from our engineers and reward them with stimulating new projects, emerging technologies and the chance to be part of a company that is about to change the cloud computing landscape forever.Job Duties and Responsibilities Implement code written structured for metrics monitoring and logging, perform peer reviews Deliver detailed designs for projects, and subsequently drive them to completion Develop solutions that address our scalability challenges as our customer data set continues to grow Own web development projects from the backend to the presentation layerKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities 4+ years of software development experience building highlyreliable, missioncritical software Experience working with a system of scale Excellent grasp of software engineering principles data structures, algorithms and software design Strong understanding of server side technologies caching and asynchronous processing Prior experience working on UI technologies (e.g. Backbone) highly desirable Prior experience designing highlyavailable RESTful APIs desirableEducation and Training Bachelors Degree majoring in computer science or equivalent work experienceSome of the perks we offer Stocked kitchen with a variety of beverages and snacks Subsidized cell phone and internet plans Mac hardware
