Description

Position Summary The Scrum Master is responsible for the planning and execution of company strategy. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for reporting and team visibility as well as ensuring the teams desired outcomes are met. Job Duties and Responsibilities Formulate, organize and monitor interconnected projectsDecide on suitable strategies and objectivesCoordinating crossproject activitiesApply change, risk and resource managementAssess team performance and aim to maximize ROIResolve projects scope issuesTracking and reporting of all relevant team performance metrics to ensure organizational transparency, including project and release statusProactively identifying and removing impediments thru consistent focus on creative problem solving and collaboration with appropriate subject matter experts and decision makersEnsuring project dashboard and relevant documentation and are maintained and current at all times.Building and promoting an open, trusting and respectful team environment; facilitating discussion, collaborative decisionmaking and conflict resolutionOngoing assessment of the maturity of the team(s); coaching the team to higher levels of maturity in order to get the most out of selforganization, at a pace that is sustainable and appropriate for the team and organizationProviding support to the team(s) using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by exampleAll other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related field.A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects, with a minimum 2 years of experience serving in a scrum master role leading crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced services environment.Experience leading multiple (2+) teams concurrently, with direct responsibility for tracking & reporting on key metrics.Foundational understanding of iterative development fundamentals, and the value of metric reporting.Demonstrated ability to apply best practices re backlog management, capturing burndown & velocity metrics and tasklevel definition/estimation.Handson experience with other development methodologies and ability to leverage these techniques as appropriate to strengthen team productivity and deliverable quality.CSM or ACP certification preferred.Knowledge of and/or experience with Kanban a plus.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Strong judgment, with the ability to make quick, yet sound decisions and follow through.Must be selfmotivated, proactive and able to work well under pressure to manage competing demands.Creative approach to problemsolving, with a strong customer focus and commitment to deliver.Teamplayer attitude, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish hightrust professional relationships quickly.
