Description
Description Support ARCs Unix/Linux physical and virtual server environment. This requires maintaining existing infrastructure and implementing new technology (hardware/software/cloud). The Unix/Linux systems administration team is responsible for working closely with ARCs business lines, development teams and our customers technical resources, to provide support for the secure delivery of our products. We work closely with ARCs corporate security department to maintain payment card industry (PCI), data security standard (DSS) & international organization for standardization (ISO) compliance.\ Responsibilities Install, patch, configure and troubleshoot operating system software (Solaris, Redhat, AWS Linux) and associated components to resolve issues and achieve peak performance. Work with multiple internal teams to address any issues related to infrastructure components. This may include the possibility of handling after hours (24x7) calls in a rotating oncall schedule.Participate in all phases of application development from an infrastructure perspective with emphasis on planning, analysis, integration, testing and acceptance phases.Manage our backup and storage solutions. Configure backup policies, replication, deduplication, compression and encryption. Manage storage pools, luns and NFS volumes.Prepare technical documentation for use by peers, managers, and other technical support team members. These may include process documentation, as well as, reports to provide metrics on specific projects.Partner and work with data center operation and technology teams on resolving tactical infrastructure issues and completing strategic projects.Monitor and manage the following system SLAs, user accounts, system resources (CPU, disk, and memory).Address various help desk ticket types within our service platform incidents, change orders, requests and catalog items.
