So, what youll be working onManaging the entire US user experience, banking, payment processing, verification, compliance, and marketing making international transfers faster, easier, and cheaperIntegrating payment methods and partners, creating a scalable & automated payments engineUnderstand our customers and the impact our product is making (through data analysis and user research), in order to ultimately drive the teams and product's roadmapTech Must havesSolid knowledge of Java 8Several years experience with Spring framework and database abstraction layers like HibernateExperience working with SQL databases, query optimisation and designing schemasHigh coding standards understanding of test coverage best practices & test pyramid conceptUnderstanding & adherence to test driven development (TDD), and the desire to write testsExperience with Distributed and Concurrent Systems, knowing the tradeoffs between stateful/stateless and synchronous/asynchronous architecturesHands on knowledge of system integration patterns REST, messaging, Kafka, event streamsMindset & nice to havesBroad understanding of the concept of minimum viable product (MVP)Be familiar with Continuous Delivery approachExperience with commercial software developmentCustomer is at the heart of everything you do and this empathy drives all decision you makeAbility to work independently identify problems, create plans and implement solutions to themAbility to articulate complex and technical concepts to nontechnical audiencesKnowledge/interest in payment platforms, foreign exchange & highly complex systemsBe a customer of TransferWiseBe open to travel and work with teams in London, Tallinn and/or Budapest.
